MOVIMENTO 2017 took place in Barreiro and in the village of Arcos, Estremoz, between August 26 and September 10. As usual, it was divided in two sessions.
The first session was at ADAO Association in Barreiro. The session started with a moment of presentation and exhibition of the films from previous years at Escola Conde Ferreira, and ended with a projection of the films made during this session and a party at ADAO Association.
On September 1st, MOVIMENTO’s participants travelled to the village of Arcos, where they were hosted by the project O Bosque. In order to kick-start this session, a second exhibition of the films made in Barreiro was held in the main plaza of the village. On September 3rd a snack was organized, a meeting open to the local population where stories and specificities of the region were told and exchanged, and contacts were shared. Ten days later, the films of the second session were shown at Bernardim Ribeiro Theater in Estremoz.
On September 10, returning to Barreiro, MOVIMENTO was closed in the usual way, with a final exhibition of the films made in both sessions and a closing party at Escola Conde Ferreira
